Cohlab NYC moseyed down to NOLA for a taste of the Big Easy. Best stop first: Turkey and the Wolf. Just a few bites in and there’s no wonder it was rated #1 Best New Restaurant in American by Bon Appetit magazine. A short & simple menu, straightforward ingredients and a super laid back space = a lunch for the memories. Our picks: devilled eggs with crispy chicken skin (ask for extra hot sauce) and the insane wedge salad all dolled up in everything bagel crunchy stuff with the perfect thickness of blue cheese dressing. But we’re still dreaming of the Collard Green Melt – which magically tastes like a reuben but is, in fact – all vegetables. We lived vicariously through a couple crushing a fried bologna sandwich just a table over from us. We’ll save the for the next trip. Don’t forget to grab a trucker hat on your way out.
