Hey guys, hopefully someone has taken the time to read this blog, and if you are that someone, then you have definitely seen my instagram and noticed that I have an affinity for wearing socks. Socks with heels, socks with sandals (not tevas or birks to be clear) socks with pumps, socks with wedges, basically socks with everything except when under the covers in bed. Whether thick, thin, long or short (still talking about socks guys, don’t let your minds wander 😉 ) lacy, ribbed, or sparkly, adding socks can make an old shoe look new or just give that new shoe an extra something. Even better, you can keep those toesies warmer and wear open shoes into colder weather. Here is a guide to some socks and shoes pairings.

1. THE ANKLE SOCK

I had a little fun with this one. My shoes are definitely the statement here but I loved mixing the glittery silver socks with the gold grommets. I think any simple ankle sock is just a super cute way to add even more to any statement shoe.

2. THE RUFFLED SOCK
Ruffley sock can kind of remind you of kindergarten, or all girls school in my case, but ignore those inclinations, as it is in fact completely acceptable to jazz up classy loafers or mules to create an innocent yet cute look that’ll make ’em want to say “hit me baby one more time.”

3. FISHNET SOCKS
Fishnet socks can be, at times, somewhat intimidating, or give the wrong notion or image. With fishnets, you can go from class to trash in a flash. I like this little pop of fishnet peeking over the top of ankle boots adding a little edge to a classic style (everything Chanel is classic, even glitter).

4. THE PATTERNED SOCK
I love these @HappySocks so much. Every time I look down at my feet and see this pattern, it honestly makes me happy, so imagine how people feel when they walk by you. An added bonus, these thicker socks can keep you a little warmer during those chillier temps, or, if you are loving a pair of sold-out shoes and the last pair is a half-size too big, don’t worry, be happy (and cute and stylish) and throw on some thick socks.

6. The Scrunched Sock
While I know its 2017, and this look can totally give you some 80’s vibes, it is a nice addition to this solid boot.
