1) OFF ROAD IN THE DESERT
De Palm Tours Aruba Jeep Tours are the absolute BEST excursions to see Aruba’s charm in the most thrilling and adventurous way! Not to mention much of Arubas beauty cannot be reached by regular car. A UTV seats two and is covered, which is why we oped for the UTV instead of the ATV, but you have the option of taking tours riding either or taking a group Jeep ride. De Palm gave us masks to cover our noses & mouths to prevent the dirt & sand from getting all over our faces. Sunglasses are also a must to keep the sand out of your eyes! .Aruba has much more to offer than just white sandy beaches and crystal clear water, and an excursion on land via 4 wheel drive vehicle is the best way to see these wonders. Touring the Island with De Palm, I legitimately felt like I got a real look into what Aruba is all about. If you are looking to explore Aruba’s northern coast, its stunning countryside or alluring cliff lined seascapes, this off-road sightseeing tour will help you do just that! Wear your seatbelt and don’t wear white, or an item you love, as it will come home dust covered. But take it from us, the dust is worth the adventure!
2. HORSE BACK RIDE
This is no ordinary horseback riding adventure, with Gold Mine Ranch. In Aruba, this is the experience of a lifetime!! Especially mine, as it ended up with a proposal! On Aruba’s north side surrounded by volcanic rock, take in the colors of the landscape and stand in awe of the relentless ocean waves crashing into cliffs and rock formations, spraying over 30 feet in the air.

We had a great time and a wonderful guide who made sure we were safe and comfortable in handling the horses, and told us about the history of the island. This is a different way to experience some of Aruba’s natural beauty than a UTV, ATV or Jeep tour. It’s a bit more personal, and at a more relaxed pace. Where off-roading is conquering the countryside, horesback riding on Aruba’s Northern Coast is more about being one with nature, as you bond not only with the island, but with your trusty mount.
3. PARTY WITH THE FLAMINGOS
Thanks to Instagram and other social media, the flamingos that live on the Renaissance Hotel’s private island are now some of the most famous and most photographed birds in the world! They live happily on Flamingo Beach, where hotel guests and visitors with a day pass can swim in the water with them feed them, or get that much coveted “flamingo selfie”! It’s a fun way to spend an afternoon, and flamingos aside, this island is a paradise unto itself. This is a unique experience where you get to see a group of beautiful flamingo’s up close and spend the day on the beach with meals included. I always make sure that when an activity involves animals, they are healthy and happy where they are. These flamingo’s are totally living the life and get to do what they want on the island. The island is only reachable by boat and is free for hotel guests of the Renaissance hotel. You can also buy a day pass, which includes the boat ride over, your day on the island and food for about $100. You’ll reach the island by water taxi from the resort in Oranjestad, and you’ll enjoy quiet relaxation, hammocks on the beach, water sports, and a walking path. There are two beaches, one is for families and the other is adults only. You can feed the iguanas, and you will see pink flamingos walk around on the adults-only beach. The island has a casual restaurant/bar, an ocean view spa hut, and a fitness center and tennis courts.
4) TRY YOUR LUCK
Attached to the lobby of the beautiful Aruba Marriot Resort, towards the northern end of Palm Beach, the Stellaris Casino boasts a whopping 26 separate gaming tables. It is stocked with hundreds of slot machines and has sports betting options amongst its many draws. As the largest casino on the entire island of Aruba, the attraction promises patrons an Island take on a true Vegas-esque experience that’s complete with poker, blackjack et al. Add to that a packed calendar of regular entertainment events and parties, like stand-up comedy shows and open bar evenings, and it’s easy to see why so many gamers opt for a trip to Stellaris.
5) RELAX IN THE SUNSHINE
Also the most affordable activity! The beaches in aruba, lined with beautiful white sand, and gorgeous clear waters, are perfect for basking in the sunshine. Rarely a day of rain here, this activity is available everyday of the week.
